Re: Lady GaGa

The other day I tweeted that I did not understand the whole Lady GaGa phenomenon.  That, in turn posted on facebook, and it seems that many of my pals shared my confusion.

It prompted me to investigate - after all, I feel I need to have at least a marginally debatable position on this.  Seems this gal is more about the look than the music and, in that department, I’m not a fan.  I was looking at some of her pictures and they reminded me of all of the others that went down that road before her.

Turns out I liked Gaga better the first three times time when Kylie Minogue, Pam Anderson and Britney Spears did it.

and then the fourth when Courtney Love did it

Fifth time’s a charm: Christina Aguilera did it.

Remember when Fergie did it too?

Even Amy Poehler did it.

I didn’t bother posting pics of the originals, but I’m pretty sure you can picture it (or exercise your googles).  Oh, and while I am at it, I actually think Nicole Richie is doing GaGa better than GaGa!

(yep, that’s Nicole)  Just sayin’.
