Atlanta is in luck! Butch Walker has not forgotten about us. haha OK, I wasn’t really worried about that, but I was worried about missing out on ATL shows when he announced them, given how quickly the tickets for the other cities seemed to have gone. If you are in NYC/LA make sure you do your best to buddy up to someone with a ticket, this dude puts on shows that never disappoint!

it is officially Fall. the leaves… or tide.. in Malibu is turning and the weather has that certain crisp chill that i long the rest of the year for. Atlanta, is always lovely this time of year as well, and i can’t wait to come back and acquiesce with me exiting the 30’s (!!!!!). i am doing a lot of town hopping the next few months. gonna go try my luck in NYC in December by living there for a bit, while getting inspired to play all next year. should be a riot, as i don’t think the city can contain my energy, nor can i the city’s.

first things first. big fun sold out residency gig at the Hotel Cafe, every Wed in November, starts this week. doing “Letters” front-to-back this week. some of these songs already feel dated to me (well, it was written in the early ‘00’s), but i am gonna put a little charming spin on a few of them to make me happy and hopefully you as well. gonna invite some of my friends onstage to help me through a few of them because… well.. some of them just don’t translate that well with one jack-ass and a guitar. i am excited to see how this goes, as we already have the same thing already sold out in NYC on DEC 4-6th, where i am gonna do the same thing all in one week. should be fun, and i will learn from my LA mistakes, so by default, these shows will be good (i think). next stop, ATL in January!! that one will be special because.. well… Atlanta, you are special to me. i am gonna do a WHOLE WEEK at an unusual location that will be fun, intimate, and full of guests. i will let you know when this goes on sale. look for a couple of other cities and countries to follow.

i truly am inspired again and the new record with me and the Black Widows is really charming. it was recorded live and is such a beauty. can’t wait to play this one for you on tour next year after i sweat out all the oldies at these residencies.

sorry i woke up so “socially network” ready. i just got a case of the jitters from having to play Wednesday which is always good if you ask me.. let’s you know you are human.
